In 2023, donations to charities in the UK had dropped significantly (from 69% in 2016 to 58% in 2023).
Launched the ‘Transforming Macmillan Together’ campaign with an animated video that communicated Macmillan’s ambition. Our main aims were to:
a) Increase public participation in the survey from previous years
b) Target a younger, more varied audience through bold typography and a dynamic animation style.
c) Create a secondary social campaign which mimicked the tone and illustration style of this campaign.
The Results
Led design and development of the visual concept, from storyboard and script development, to final production.
The animated campaign was delivered across web and social platforms. The decision was made to add bilingual subtitles to the videos post production. In hindsight this would alter several key animation and illustration placement decisions made during this project.
The campaign led to a 53% participation increase in the ‘Transforming Macmillan Together’ initiative.
